There is something so special about a sweet baby girl being born into a family of boys.

Ava made her appearance this summer and Mason and Logan are the proud big brothers.

I have photographed all three of these kiddos since they were babies and it's one of the things I love about my "job" (if you can call it that) - seeing families grow. Ed and Amy have always been very laid back parents so they make adding baby #3 to the mix look like a (very sweet) piece of cake.

Here are a few of my favorite shots from Ava's newborn session. She was an angel the entire time.

Logan | dc newborn photography

Little Logan G was born very quickly and right on time. His mama, Anne, had contacted me back in the fall about setting up a newborn session in April when he was due. We tentatively set a date but of course it would all depend on when the little cutie decided to make his appearance. I emailed Anne about 2 weeks before our scheduled session to see how things were going and the next day she wrote back and said Logan had been born the day before! Perfect timing.

It was a gorgeous spring day when I went to the little G family's beautiful 7th floor apartment in Northwest. After a few lovely shots with Logan's very proud and doting grandparents (his grandmother will be called Foxy - love it!), we got to work...except that Logan, who had been sleeping beautifully for his grandparents, decided he was finished sleeping and had a lot to say about it. I didn't mind because two more devoted parents you never saw and the way that they interacted with Logan in all his little moods was so sweet to watch and capture. It was beautiful.

It was a pure delight photographing this little beauty.

Just so sweet and peaceful.

One of my favorite things was watching the family interact with the baby. Such a loving, relaxed environment. Selah is going to grow up well looked after and encouraged to be strong in who she is. I love that. Oh and those tiny puckered lips too.
